Want help before the exam?

Book a free NCEA assessment at our Avondale centre, 2163 Great North Road. A tutor works through the standards you are sitting, finds the gaps worth fixing first and shows you how the weekly sessions work. It takes about 45 minutes and the first session is free too, with no obligation.

Assessments run weekdays 4pm to 6pm and Saturdays 10am to 11am. Pick a time and we'll confirm it by email within one working day.

How we use your answers

Your answers are marked by Vertex Academy with the help of Claude, an AI made by Anthropic, and checked by a teacher before you get them. To do that, your photos are sent to Anthropic for processing.

We keep your name, email, school, your parent or caregiver's details if you are under 18, your photos and your marks privately. We use them only to mark your paper, send you the results and improve this marking service, and we delete them by 31 March 2027.
