Study in New Zealand, with someone already here
Choosing a school on the other side of the world is mostly guesswork from a website. We are in Auckland. We work out what suits the student, put together a shortlist of registered New Zealand schools and universities, prepare the application, and stay with it through to an offer of place.
Vertex Academy is an education placement agency. We help you choose a registered New Zealand school or university, prepare your application to that provider, and stay in touch once you arrive. We are not licensed immigration advisers. We do not give immigration or visa advice, we do not assess whether you qualify for a visa, and we do not prepare or lodge visa applications. Under New Zealand law only a licensed immigration adviser, or a person the law exempts, may advise you on immigration.
Search the register of licensed immigration advisers. Kept by the Immigration Advisers Authority (iaa.govt.nz). For official visa information see Immigration New Zealand at immigration.govt.nz.
How it works, in a minute and a half

It is free to you
We are paid a commission by the school or university, the way education agents are paid everywhere. You pay us nothing. Tuition and any other provider fee is paid by you directly to the provider, into their own account. We never hold or collect student fees, so if anyone ever asks you to pay Vertex for tuition, it is not us.
Three different jobs
They look similar from the outside and are not similar at all in practice. Tell us which one you are, and the first conversation is already useful.
Secondary school
A student joining a New Zealand school, usually for a year or more, and usually studying towards NCEA. The school becomes responsible for their pastoral care, which is why it must be a signatory to the New Zealand Code of Practice. We only work with providers that are.
University
Undergraduate or postgraduate study. The work here is mostly about matching what the student has already done to what a New Zealand university will accept, and about being realistic rather than optimistic on entry requirements and English language requirements.
Short courses and groups
A few weeks rather than a few years. This is a different service and it already has its own page: EduVentures for a group programme, University Tours for a campus visit. If that is what you want, start there.
Two things we will not do
We will not tell you a school is right for your child before we know anything about your child, and we will not name a school we have no agreement with. When you write to us, the first reply will be questions, not a brochure.
