NCEA Level 1 Maths, standard by standard
The refreshed NCEA Level 1 Mathematics and Statistics (from 2024): four 5-credit standards, two assessed internally through the year and two by external exam — 20 credits in total.
Level 1 is the shortest-lived NCEA content: from 2028 Year 11 moves to the Foundational Skills Award, so the last NCEA Level 1 sitting is around 2027.
